Switch

Routes two input signals through a single output according to a trigger

Category: Routing

Description:

The Switch block allows the user to change the signal flowing into a port by a trigger. Figure 1 shows a diagram using Switch block with a Compare To Constant block signal as a trigger.

Figure 1 - Switch usage example

Figure 2 - Signal generated from example in Figure 1

As can be seen, at 5s, the signal switches from a ramp to a constant due to the trigger generated by the Compare To Constant block.

Ports:

Input

Input signal used as Output signal when Trigger Input is different from zero.

Data Types:

Trigger signal that switches the Output Signal according to the rule:

{Out=In0,Trig0Out=In1,Trig=0\begin{cases} Out = In_0 &,& Trig \neq 0 \\ Out = In_1 &,& Trig = 0 \end{cases}

Data Types:

Input signal used as Output signal when Trigger Input is equal to zero.

Data Types:
Output

Returns one of the input signals according to the trigger.
