Extracts the U32SI (i.e. stored integer) from a Q15.16 signal
Category: Conversion
The Q15.16 data type encodes a number with both integer and fractional parts in a 32-bit fixed-point. It is possible to extract the corresponding raw bits of this encoding and return them in U32 data type, the U32SI. Figure 1 shows an example to illustrate the effects of this conversion.

Figure 1 - Conversion example
In Figure 1, Display 1 and 3 show the same binary number, i.e., this block converts the number to U32 keeping all first 16 bits. In spite of this, the decimal value turns different as can be seen in Display 2.
The signal flowing into this port is in Q15.16 data type.
Converted signal in U32 data type.
