Finete State Machine are diagrams with an especific behavior as described in Hierarchical State Machines. Inside of them, it is impossible to use regular diagram blocks except Finite State blocks or other Finite State Machine as shown in Figure 1.

Finite State blocks are useful because they allow the user to use regular diagrams inside Finite State Machine. Every time that a Finite State is executing, its diagram gets running.
