Description:
This block applies the logical inversion (also known as NOT gate) in the input signal:
- If the input signal is zero, the output is one.
- If the input signal is different from zero, the output is zero.
Figure 1 - Simple usage of Not block
In Figure 1, it is possible to see that only the first diagram has an output signal equal to one because its input signal is zero. In the remaining cases, it returns zero just because the inputs are not zero. Any negative and positive values are treated at logical one (TRUE) by this logical gate.
