Generates a step signal

Description:

This block generate a step function signal in its output port. This function is defined by the following equation

y(t)={xit<TsxftTs y(t)=\begin{cases} x_{i} & t < T_{s} \\ x_{f} & t \geq T_{s}\end{cases}

Where:

  • yy
    is the output signal.
  • xix_i
    is the initial value.
  • xfx_f
    is the final value.
  • TsT_s
    is the step time.
Dialog

In the Step Properties dialog, the step amplitude and step time may be configured.

Parameters:

Time in seconds to change output value from initial to final value.

Signal value assigned to the output of the port before the step time.

Signal value assigned to the output of the port after the step time.
