Output the value of the current simulation time and the simulation step
Category: Source
This block allows one to use the current simulation time. As it is a varying quantity, it is incremented according to the simulation time step which is also informed by this block. In Figure 1, it is possible to see a Time block connected to a Scope block and a Display block. After the simulation, a monotonically increasing signal (time value) and a constant signal (simulation step) can be seen. The simulation was set to have 10s of duration and using a Simulation Step of 0.1s.

Figure 2 - Time value shown as a signal in the Scope block
At each simulation step, this port delivers a sample with the value of the current simulation time.
At each simulation step, this port returns the value of the simulation step. The simulation step is the value currently used by the numerical integrators in the model.
